The Yangtze River shoreline Wetland Protection and Environmental Improvement Project in Nanjing Jiangbei New District, jointly undertaken by Changjiang Design Group Municipal Transportation Institute, Ecology Company and Jiangjiang Company, won the "Asian Urban Landscape Award 2022". The final jury of this award was composed of representatives from UN-Habitat, Asian Human Settlements Association, Fukuoka Institute of Asian Urban Research, Asian Society of Landscape Design, Korea Institute of Architecture and Urban Space and other institutions and industry experts, and nearly 20 members of the jury team. In the end, 11 projects from six Asian countries and regions won the "Asian Urban Landscape Award 2022".
This project responds to the top-level design of the "Yangtze River Protection", takes protection as the background, restructures the "riverside, near the river and see the river" landscape corridor, integrates leisure functions, promotes industrial renewal, carries forward regional culture, and highlights the sense of belonging and pride in the development of the new district. The construction goal is to build Jiangbei Riverside into the world's most beautiful urban riverside ecological waterfront, and realize the beautiful vision of "the most beautiful waterfront, the nearest future".
